The Sitting Hare ceramic raku sculpture is a unique and eye-catching piece. With long ears perked and its body poised, this hare sculpture captures a moment of stillness, as if the hare is pausing to listen to the world around it. Made using the traditional raku technique, each sculpture has a special crackled glaze that adds character and texture. Due to the nature of raku firing each sculpture will be different to the next making every one unique. The raku firing process creates one-of-a-kind patterns, giving each dog sculpture its own personality.

Paul Jenkins was born in the West Midlands, England in 1949. Paul worked as a commercial designer for various companies around the world including the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Paul’s inspirations come from his love of nature especially animals. Many of his pieces are inspired from direct observations of wild animals in their natural habitat.
