Made from Dartmoor wool and entirely manufactured in the UK, twool continues doing good after it’s working life by releasing nitrogen as it biodegrades on the compost heap.
Twool twine is strong and because it withstands our British weather, makes it excellent for traditional garden use. Made from underused rare-breed wool, it is soft and kind to plants and is also wonderfully versatile.
British wool is still an underused resource in the UK. We grow it well, it is renewable, strong and durable and, as a natural product, it releases nitrogen as it biodegrades. What’s not to love about that!

Twool represents British product provenance from wool to end product. All products are made from rare breed Whiteface Dartmoor wool to promote and protect one of Britain’s ancient breeds of sheep. Wool is collected directly from the farmers on Dartmoor. Twool is British, natural, sustainable, provenance lead, passionate, and professional throughout: from sheep to spool, from product to people. Every manufacturing process is done right here in Britain. We went to great lengths to double check every supplier of twine in Britain and this is the only brand that we could find that is made completely in Great Britain.
